Carriers, Kennels & Playpens

The Small Petmate kennel is best for potty training and crate training but will have to be upsized when your puppy outgrows the kennel if you choose to stay with a kennel.
The playpen can be used for playing and for potty training (especially in a smaller space like an apartment) alongside the litter box and grass pellets below.
A small tabletop fan pointed toward the kennel door while your puppy is sleeping will help to keep them cool while also soothing them to sleep with the white noise.

Potty Training

Puppy potty pads recommended for travel only to line the bottom of the carrier or crate. The least expensive pads can be purchased at Costco.
We use Orchard Grass pellets for our litter boxes, but several owners have also used Fresh Patch when they live in apartments and need to utilize a balcony.
The Potty bells are awesome for teaching your dog to ring a bell to alert you that they need to go outside.

Treat puzzles are great for doodles to help upkeep their incredible smartness and keep them thinking!

Rule of thumb: The more puppies have to play with, the less likely they will become bored

Grooming & Bath Time

Groomers recommend line brushing and combing to prevent mats.

Straight Coat: They require minimal brushing. You will get mild shedding with this coat type also.
Wavy Coat: A wavy coat will require weekly brushing and/or combing and is often low shedding and some don’t shed at all which is a favored trait of Goldendoodles.
Curly Coat: The Goldendoodle grooming needs of a curly coat dog are very demanding. You need to commit to brushing on a daily basis (5 times per day) to prevent matting unlike a wavy coat where weekly is OK.
